The Combined Campuses & Colleges Marooners sraped into the semi-finals with a sensational 1-wicket win over the Guyana Jaguars.


Led by an unbeaten 84 from Raymond Reifer and strong support from the tail, Guyana Jaguars defeated Barbados Pride by 2 wickets in a thrilling finish.

2015 WICB One Day Season

The dates have been finalised for the third edition of the Caribbean Premier League, and the tournament will be much earlier in the year than it was in the previous two editions.


BCB President Anil Beharry confirmed that his Board will not attend the upcoming Guyana Cricket Board "elections".

2015 WICB First Class Season

The Ramchand/Rohan Auto Spares softball competition finals are set for Sunday at the DCC ground, bringing an end to the 2014 softball season.

Remembering Ivor Mendonca


THE LOCAL cricketing fraternity was thrown into a state of mourning yesterday morning, following the death of 79-year-old Ivor Leon Mendonca.


Former Guyana and West Indies wicketkeeper/bastman Ivor Leon Mendonca passed away on Saturday morning, losing the battle to cancer. He was 79.


"Guyana's production of wicket-keepers has been somewhat limited. Wicket-keeping has remained Guyana's major weakness."


After retaining the Guyana Cricket Board 3-day title, Demerara won the 1-day title after whipping the President’s XI at Bourda.

Guyana and West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul qualified to represent the Floodlights softball team at long last, after he turned 40 recently. "Floodlights" is a leading softball team in Georgetown, where the game is very popular.
